Ardabil Friday Imam: Trump's Humiliating Downfall Is Divine Will Manifest in the Defeat of the Arrogant System

Ardabil Friday Prayer leader Hojatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Ameli, emphasizing that Trump's election defeat was predictable, said: "Trump is the most arrogant, conceited, delusional, ignorant, and narcissistic president in American history, and these very vices bring a person down — his abject downfall was entirely predictable."

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at this week's Friday Prayers in Ardabil, held at the Ardabil Grand Mosque with people from all walks of life in attendance, the representative of Iran’s Leader in Ardabil Province cited several verses from the Holy Quran regarding God's promise to take revenge on criminals and oppressors: "God has promised in the Quran: 'Indeed, We will take retribution from the criminals' (32:22), and regarding the tradition of creation He says: 'So when they angered Us, We took retribution from them, and We drowned them all' (43:55), and also: 'The promise of Allah is true. And who is truer in statement than Allah?' (4:122), and: 'And who is truer in statement than Allah?' (4:87)."

He added: "The US election and Trump's abject and humiliating downfall are part of God's retribution and the revenge of the oppressed against the oppressor. Every day on which God's overwhelming power manifests is, in Quranic terms, a 'Day of God.' In this war, divine miracles and God's overwhelming power manifested themselves repeatedly. Both parties in America are two sides of the same coin — two blades of the same scissors, and the scissors are in the hands of international Zionism. The very humiliation and abasement of an oppressor who ordered the assassination of our leader, the children of Minab, and General Soleimani, and took pride in it, and martyred several thousand of our people, and under whose support Netanyahu has killed eighty thousand innocent oppressed people — this is an extraordinary victory for the front of truth and the front of resistance, and it shows that God is not a spectator and is not unaware of the crimes of arbitrary rulers. 'And do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do' (14:42), and He says: 'And your Lord is never forgetful' (19:64). The Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (AS) said: 'The day of the oppressed is far more severe than the day of the oppressor.' God manages this world by specific laws — 'and those who arrange [each] matter' (79:5). Among the traditions of creation is this: 'Whoever makes people weep through oppression, time will make him weep by force.' This rule is certain, and even if time passes, one cannot trifle with God's patience — one cannot play with God's patience. Throughout history, many took God's patience and wrath lightly and saw the consequences. Carter, in the attack on Iran, said everything was on our side, but God was with Iran."

Hojatoleslam Ameli, continuing with emphasis on the predictability of Trump's defeat, said: "Trump is the most arrogant, conceited, delusional, ignorant, and narcissistic president in American history, and these very vices bring a person down; therefore, his abject downfall was entirely predictable. God brought him from the peak to the abyss, and certainly, according to the traditions of creation, he will become more abject and humiliated than this. The sigh of the oppressed in this world is certainly not wasted. If we had spent billions of dollars, we could not have achieved this result against the enemy. It is narrated that if God wants to punish someone, He takes away his intellect, and he commits a great mistake; then He returns his intellect, and he condemns himself, saying: 'What a mistake I made!' Trump's mistake was that he underestimated Iran and Iranians."

He stated: "Trump admitted that the cause of his defeat was the war with Iran. Therefore, after the defeat, he will make one of two decisions: either he says, 'Let us quickly end this ominous war so we can be rid of further harm,' or he takes revenge on Iran and commits new crimes. What has been leaked from the White House is the first option — he is consulting with his senior advisers on how to quickly end this war. If Trump has any sense, he will certainly choose the first option. There is a fine proverb: 'The wise man changes his opinion when the truth becomes clear to him, but the ignorant man changes the truth when it contradicts his opinion.'"

The Friday Imam of Ardabil, referring to the improbability of another US attack, said: "One reason the likelihood of an attack is ruled out is that they cannot define the objective of a new war and attack. If the goal is to destroy Iran's nuclear industry, that cannot be achieved by an attack. If the goal is to open the strait, that too cannot be achieved by an attack. If the goal is to overthrow the system, that requires a ground invasion — in which case American soldiers would certainly be massacred. On the other hand, a nation that has been mobilized and is present in the streets every night will not allow any aggression against the system. One strange thing about this election was that the whole world celebrated Trump's defeat — this is worse than a thousand deaths, this is bigger than an atomic bomb. This is part of our revenge, and the main factor behind this revenge is our people's resistance and the bravery of our armed forces. We have taken another revenge as well: Trump has come under the most severe blame, reprimand, and condemnation from multiple directions. First, the Republicans have put him under fire, asking: 'Was the war with Iran worth depriving us for years of congressional and Senate seats and governorships? Was the Iran war worth shattering our prestige inside and outside America?' He has incurred a terrible debt. Second, Europe and the industrial countries have sharply condemned him for crippling their economies by attacking Iran. Third, the Persian Gulf countries say: 'You could not do anything in the attack on Iran, but you destroyed our security and economy.' Fourth, AIPAC — the international Zionist lobby — tells Trump: 'Because of your performance, the American people have become anti-Israel and anti-Zionist.' This blame is the most terrifying for Trump, because the financial and propaganda resources of American elections are in AIPAC's hands. He created such a mess that even AIPAC could not flex its muscle in the recent election."

Hojatoleslam Ameli expressed: "This election was the Americans' curse upon Israel, because all those who did not vote Republican did so because of the Iran war — and the Iran war was dictated to Trump by Israel. In the recent war, and especially in the American election, Israel lost its last fortress in America. This is truly unprecedented. The majority of Democratic voters in America declared they would not vote for AIPAC's candidate. The Israeli lobby, which once arrogantly threatened American officials and set policy for America, now has no leverage left and has lost its vote in every state. Before the election, polls showed that 60 percent of voters said they would never vote for a candidate financially supported by AIPAC, or for those who are pro-Israel. Trump himself admits and says Schumer — a major American analyst — speaks as if he were a Palestinian himself. For many years, Israel was a red line in American politics. Republicans, Democrats, leftists, and conservatives all had a sacred rule: no one should criticize Israel. But now all the streets of America are full of anti-Israeli demonstrations. The Al-Aqsa Storm and the Iran war changed the American mood, and that sacred rule has completely collapsed. Criticism of Israel, if any, used to be voiced in secret, but now it is said openly and publicly in Congress, in universities, in cultural centers, and among America's new generation. For the first time, Americans' expressions of sympathy with Palestinians exceed their expressions of sympathy with Israelis."

He also added: "The Al-Aqsa Storm has entirely changed American public opinion. Forty percent of Americans say they view Israel negatively; Democratic youth represent this shift. Sixty percent of young Democrats say they do not like Israel. This view has also penetrated the Democratic Party itself. A party that was once AIPAC's strong political fortress now views Israel as a major problem. A few days ago, a Democratic candidate returned Israeli financial contributions to Israel itself and declared: 'I am free of Israeli donations and financial support.' Democratic Congressman Mr. Keith Moulton says: 'I am a friend of Israel, but not a friend of the Israeli government and not a friend of AIPAC. AIPAC's entire effort is to support the current government, and I do not endorse this approach.' What is remarkable in this shift is that American politicians no longer fear AIPAC — rather, they fear association with AIPAC. These are all the words of Peter Beinart, editor-in-chief of Jewish Currents."

The Ardabil Friday Prayer leader noted: "At one time, one could not say a single word against Israel in Europe, and now all Europeans are staunch enemies of Israel. Britain, which founded this ominous regime, recently announced under the pressure of British public opinion, addressing Israel: 'From now on, we will not be spectators to your horrific crimes.' Fifth is the blame from American economic officials — the damage they have suffered is extraordinary. Just one instance: within only 40 minutes after the US election, the American stock market lost two trillion dollars in value. Experts say this is one of the fastest market value declines in the history of the American stock market. Sixth is the greatest blame from the American people: 'Why did you make our livelihood and lives harder? Why did you sacrifice our comfort for Israel and Netanyahu's demands?' We used to wish death for Trump, but God granted him something worse than death. Now, after his defeat and under these pressures, he dies every moment — he seeks death but cannot find it. This is the effect of the martyred leader's blood. Our leader has not departed; all these effects are the extension of that martyred leader's existence. He is a director both in life and in death. Great people's influence after death is sometimes greater than their influence during life. Great people cannot be buried with soil, and great people are never confined and imprisoned between the lines of books."

The representative of the Leader in Ardabil Province continued: "At present, the main duty of all statesmen and diplomats is to break the naval blockade, and the remedy for that is to raise the cost for the enemy. The Leader of the Revolution stated a golden sentence and a golden key in his message on the occasion of 13 Aban: that the slightest tendency toward surrender on our part will make the arrogant enemy more emboldened. The Americans have fully realized that the longer the war continues, the higher their costs will become. US Senator Chris Murphy says: 'Trump has lost in this war. If the war continues, America will become weaker and Iran stronger. The war must end immediately, even if America is forced into a very bad agreement, because the cost of opening the strait rises day by day. The current agreement gives Iran an annual benefit of 100 billion dollars in exchange for opening the strait — this is a victory for Iran, but there is no choice, because the alternative for America is worse.' He says the consequences of the current war inside America are dangerous — do not underestimate them. Seven out of every ten Americans say the war must end quickly. Families have faced severe financial problems; the cost of children's schooling has reached 4,000 dollars due to the war. And the great calamity is that we no longer have military readiness, because munitions including Tomahawk missiles have been consumed and the depots are empty. This very issue has encouraged China and Russia against us, and they have realized our weakness. We must quickly turn to munitions production by stopping the war."

Hojatoleslam Ameli said in another part of his sermon: "Over the past 47 years, they have entirely harassed and tormented us; never has harassment or attack originated from our side. This shows that they intend to destroy Iran and will spare no effort in this path. So, if we back down, they will not lift the blockade — they will say, 'Well, we have found something to pressure them with.' The blockade will be lifted only and only by raising the cost for America and Europe, and for now our military forces have done that. We must advance this theory. Testing it is easy: tell America now that we accept all your oppressive conditions — it is certainly impossible that they would say they will also lift the blockade, just as they did not lift it in Syria and Iraq. They will come up with a thousand and one excuses: Congress must decide, you must hand over the missiles too, you must hand over the nuclear material too, must, must, must... So, the path is clear. On this clear path, we must stand with full determination and not retreat a single bit."

He concluded: "Last week, on the night of the American election, America's psychological warfare reached its peak. They filled the entire cyberspace with claims that within a few hours Iran would be bombed with nuclear weapons. They said it was no coincidence that Europe had told its people to stockpile two months of provisions, and no coincidence that the Persian Gulf countries had told their peoples to stockpile one month of provisions. They said the Iranian government had trained [people] on what to do if a nuclear bombardment occurred — this shows that a nuclear attack is certain. They widely disseminated that shelters in the northern settlements of Israel had been reopened, and falsely claimed that the Iranian people had rushed to airports and borders. They made the atmosphere very heavy. Trump was also affected and said the Iranian armed forces should lay down their weapons and surrender to us, and Iranian diplomats in all countries should seek asylum from us. They made the atmosphere very heavy, but our nation did not crack under this psychological war. Any nation other than ours would have been affected by this psychological warfare. Our nation is an exceptional nation. If a nuclear attack were to occur, its result would be the complete disappearance of Israel from the map. The rumor of nuclear war is only to break the will and drive our nation off the scene, and if — God forbid — it were true, its certain result would be Israel's disappearance. The leaders and decision-makers must certainly note that Iran is a very large country, but Israel, in Trump's own words, is like the tip of a pen, and all the usurping Jews in Israel are gathered in that tip. So, in a nuclear war, what would certainly be erased from the page of time is the country that has gathered its entire nation in the tip of a pen!"

He also stated: "The Western media empire fills cyberspace everywhere to frighten Iran — that Trump will do such and such, and its effect will be such and such. All of this is psychological warfare to break the will of officials and to make our nation empty the scene. In such threats, they overlook one matter: when you threaten Iran with nuclear weapons and Iran does not fear, this gives courage and bravery to all nations to stand against the demonic power of America, and Iranians become an exceptional model in the arena of courage. Our nation has so far not been affected by any threat, and now everyone should note that the extensive propaganda these days is aimed at breaking our nation's will and influencing the will of officials. The enemy knows that any move it makes will backfire on itself. The whole world's throat is in Iran's hand."
